Chances at Howard's bs/md (applying as a junior)

I just got an email today informing me that I got an interview on May 2 on campus.
@Nedcone any interview tips?

@RMG060 honestly, just be ready to write an essay, explain any shortcomings in your grades, and be personable!

@Nedcone ok that doesn’t sound all that bad. Also, could you share your experience thus far in terms of your first year and second year classes, clinical hours, taking the MCAT, course overload, and first year of med school? Sorry to ask a lot, but there’s a lot that’s still up in the air for me. Also, do you think going on this path was worth it, or do you look back and wish you had taken the conventional track?

I got an email yesterday about being invited for an interview. How many applicants are usually selected from the interview to be a part of the BS/MD Program?

I plan on applying in the next cycle (2020), I am a junior rn, and getting in would mean THE WORLD to me, but I doubt I have good enough stats for it…My final cumulative GPA ended up a 3.78, and my initial SAT (without any intense studying) was a 1240, I probably can get it up to a high 1300 or 1400, but I doubt I am gonna get in. I have some good volunteering tho…ALOT of volunteer hours. : /

@Nedcone , @behappy101 and others

I’m an alumni of Georgetown and my son/Asian category is looking to sincerely apply to this program next year for 2021. His stats are good but any advice whether he should even try as he is Asian category ?

Thanks
