Chances at HPME?

<p>Rising senior . Asian Indian male from Michigan.</p>

<p>GPA: 4.0 unweighted (school doesn't weigh or rank.)
Courseload: Mostly AP/honor courses with additional required classes.
APs: Soph. yr. - USH (5). Jr. yr. Bio(5), Calc BC(5, AB subscore, 5), English Language(4), Chemistry(4). Senior yr. - planning on Economics AP(Micro + Macro), Physics C, , English Lit, Stats, and Multi Variable Calculus at Oakland University.</p>

<p>SAT: 650v/740m/740w (2130 composite.) Will DEFINATELY take in October.
PSAT: 215 jr., so hopefully NMS(according to Michigan Standards).
SAT iis - US History (730), Biology(720), Chemistry(750), Math IIC(800).</p>

<p>Approx. 300 hours of community service, involving differnt jobs at local hospital.</p>

<p>Soph year summer: National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine.</p>

<p>Junior Year Summer: Michigan Boys State Camp.</p>

<p>Clubs:</p>

<p>Science Olympiad - Medalist at State and Regional competitions. Team finished 4/11/6th at states. Treasurer of Science Olympiad Team.</p>

<p>Club MED - Vice-President. Club involves doctor job shadowing and blood drives.</p>

<p>Project LEAD- Secretary. Volunteering opportunites around the city.</p>

<p>Students Against Drunk Driving- Treasurer. </p>

<p>Chinmaya Mission Hindu Classes- Student Teacher after eleven years of religious education.</p>

<p>Michigan Tamil Sangam- Youth Committee Secretary. Organization that cultivates Tamil culture in Michigan. </p>

<p>Biology Club- Member.</p>

<p>NHS- Member.</p>

<p>Water Polo- Two years of Junior Varsity with one year as captain. One year of varsity.</p>

<p>Kenpo Karate- Although not very active during high school, I hold a Black Belt 1st degree in Kenpo Karate.</p>

<p>ur sat score is weak. you seem to have a lot of other ECs and what not so that is good.
increase the sat score and you prolly have a good chance to make it. Keep in mind that in order to get an application, you have to send in a paper with just ur name, sat scores (I and IIs) and gpa. They decide to send you an app based on that alone.
Being Indian probably won't help much either (most of us, I think, that are accepted are Indians).
