Extras:
Research is my strength. I have a paper published in Polymer International and got semifinalist in Siemens, Intel.

Kudos to anyone who read through all of that ^__^
Yale's currently my top choice...chances for HYP, Stanford???

Those are all such different schools (example: Stanford and MIT)… first I would decide which school fits me more than whether or not it is in the top 10 US news rankings.

Well I mean I’ve already applied to all of these schools, I’m just curious what my chances of getting in are ^__^

Secret bragging topic.

Wow do you go to St. Mark’s or something? I also happen to be from the Dallas area. Nice job on all your colleges so far. I’m also hoping to get Siemens or Intel SF next year, looks like it really boosts your chances. Are you Asian?

Anyway I would say you have a great chance (50%) for HYPS, you will probably get in one of those!

Lol, no I don’t go to St. Marks…isn’t that an all guys school? (actually I’m not sure). Yes, I’m Chinese, which I think hurts my chances at a lot of top schools (quota???). For Intel/Siemens, just make sure you start on your paper early, and not 10 days before the deadline like me >.<

UT: accepted engineering
Wash U: accepted architecture/engineering double major
Columbia Engineering: likely
Cornell Engineering: likely
Caltech: accepted
MIT: accepted
U Mich: accepted
NYU: accepted

Obviously being Asian does not hurt your chances at “a lot of top schools.”

You know that you have a chance, but it isn’t a sure thing. Why the need for another thread?

Lolll, sorry I must have meant Hockaday or something. Whatever the case you probably go to a good school in the Dallas area. Thanks for the advice - by the way, I noticed that Intel notification for SF was after apps were sent, right? So did you update your colleges of your selection?

Also, just wondering…if Yale was your top choice why didn’t you apply SCEA?

college ***?

baller – you didn’t have to post this. the next few notifications will probably be a few acceptances and rejections. or maybe you’ve been likeli-ed/accepted at all the ones you’ll be accepted at. either way, you’ll feel feel accomplished.

Good chances at all. You still could get rejected or waitlisted at one or more, or even all of them. If that happens, you can slink off to MIT.

Actually I go to a public school, but I used to go to a private school so I’m familiar with the private schools in this area. Yes, I notified all my colleges about Intel - mostly via fax and e-mail. If anything, it could mean that my application got another look.

I did apply SCEA for Yale, and got deferred. Fingers crossed for RD!!

For HYPS that’s going to be hard to say. But what the above posters said, it should be a mix of a couple of acceptances and rejections from them. You should have a good shot at them all anyways. Congrats on the other acceptances–you’re going to college either way. :)

Does it really matter. They’re all good schools.

Goodness. :p

secret bragging topic indeed, lmao

^ Exactly what my thoughts were. I’m awed by your high SAT I & II scores.

You’re asian, right? So don’t count on HYPS. Maybe you will get into one of them. Remember Jian Li? 4.0, 2400, rejected, filed suit against Princeton.

Yeah, I am…but I’m hoping SAT/GPA don’t matter that much. I realize that my SAT score is relatively low compared to most HYPS admits, but the decision is based on more than that, right?

^ Trust me, they’re not low not even relatively low.

Stuco! My #1 event in 4n6!

Did you go to states or nats ever?
