Chances at HYPS, other Ivies?

I am a white male from Northern California.

Attend a private prep school, approx. 130 in my class. I am number 1/2 (school does not rank).

Most rigorous curriculum at my school (though no science in 12th grade).
By the end of 12th grade, I will have taken 9 APs (all 4s and 5s)

GPA approx. 3.97 UW, 4.2 W
SATs -- 800 Math, 790 Writing, 720 Reading.
SATIIs -- 800 2C, 770 US Hist, 750 Span, 740 Bio(M), 710 Math 1C

Extracurriculars:
Class President, 4 years of student government.
4 years of Varsity Volleyball, will be Team Captain during 12th grade (was selected to all-area team as a junior).
Member of Mock Trial Team -- have won regional tournaments and qualified for state.
Boy Scout (and an Eagle hopeful!)
Some community service -- tutoring, camp counselor
Various jobs during the summer

Chances?

Also, I was a National Merit Finalist with a 236 PSAT score. Don't know if that matters.

Youre grades are good, but the extracirriculars are lacking. You better be able to write good essays. I would suggest emphasizeing your student government and leadership/delegation abilities... Anyways, chances:

Harvard/Yale: Deny
Princeton/Stanford: Huge reaches
Brown: BIg reach.. youre not interesting enough for them
Penn: no chance for Wharton, big reach elsewhere
COlumbia: Reach
Dartmouth: Reach
Cornell: HIgh match

you should look at more 10-25 US news schools. I would maybe suggest WashU.

Do you have any suggestions for how I could make my EC's any better? I really want to go to Stanford, even though I know you think it is a huge reach.

Youre SAT scores show that your pretty good at math, so you should maybe look into joining a math club/organization to show you are interested in it. You also need to do something more with the tutoring/camp counseling, maybe over the summer. This really is the time where you need to do some service, if you really think you have a chance of getting in there. It certainly is a spectacular school. Good luck!

Is there anyone else out there with an opinion on my chances? Sorry, whartonorbust, I just want to make sure that you aren't an anomaly.
