Colleges: HYPS, MIT, Cornell, Duke, Colombia, Rice, UT Austin, Texas Tech, Baylor

If anyone could give me some insight into my chances, that would be much appreciated.

Also any suggestions for colleges that might be better suited for me would also be appreciated.

Thanks! :)

Bump. :)

Anyone?

HYPS- All are really hard to predict. You're a very solid candidate for admission at all four schools, but you never know with HYPS. The acceptance %'s are so low, that sometimes they have to reject very qualified applicants such as yourself.
MIT- See HYPS
Cornell- Pretty good chance of getting in, but like the ivies, it's very hard for me to guarantee anything.
Columbia- See HYPS
Duke- You're a very very solid applicant at Duke. I'll make a prediction by saying you'll get in, although I could be wrong. Duke is very very competitive, and supposedly they rejected 80 valedictorians from the class of 2005.
Rice- See Duke, perhaps a little easier to get into.
UT/TTU/Baylor- In. 100% guarantee.

Given the fact that you're applying to sooo many competitive schools, how about applying to some of these schools that I think you'll probably get into...

Michigan
UNC-Chapel Hill
UC-Berkeley
USC
UCLA
Illinois
Wisconsin
NYU
BU

You've got the potential to get into all the schools I named, and they would be great safeties/very good matches for someone like yourself.

NOTE: I think you should definitely take the new SAT. I made my predictions/advice based on the fact that you took the new one. Only after did I realize that you mentioned you didn't take the new one. Ask the colleges if that's alright, because I really think they want to see the new one...

Well I think KingJames said it all =)

By the way, how did you get the research opportunity? Did you know the professor?
