I got into Rutgers very quickly so my other applications are all reaches.

Princeton seas, Columbia seas, Cornell, Cooper Union

GPA: 3.8-3.9ish weighted, As and Bs, no Cs, A lot of Honors Classes focusing in math science and physics, In general I study to learn not for grades.

I got a 5 on Calc BC exam last year, and Im in AP Physics C, Economics, and Statistics.
Im also taking Calculus 3 H currently.
I have a lot of Extra Curriculars, Bio/Chem/Physics League, Science Olympiad, Math Team- (I qualified for AIME twice (in two attempts) and have a decent shot at making USAMO this year), JETS Competition - First Place Nationally,Mu Alpha Theta, Italian Honor Society, Jewish Student Union.

And perhaps most importantly I have spent four hours a day for the first five months of senior year in an EMT class, and now currently work on ambulances at my local rescue squad.

...my essays prob. won't carry me.
I assume my recs are good, but I never saw them.

...Also Ultimate Frisbee, Peer Tutoring, decent community service without the rescue squad, but several hundred hours with it.

Princeton and Columbia are high reaches. You're clearly math-science oriented, which will serve you well in the future, but undergrad adcoms are looking for a lot of academic well-roundedness, especially at these schools. Princeton is a tad too competitive, and Columbia values a more holistic engineering education with a good amount of liberal arts.

Cornell SEAS and Cooper Union are more straight science, and they may be more inclined to overlook imperfections in grades and reading/writing SATs. I'm really not sure, but I think Cornell and Cooper Union are your best opportunities.

Thanks, thats pretty intuitive, I was expecting for someone to just tell me its out of my league. Im not really a strict math brained student as I like to read and write also, but my resume doesn't depict that very well, O well.

ye your SATs might be a bit low for Pton or COlumbia. Cornell perhaps

SAT score is too low for princeton and columbia. I agree with the guy above me.

Definite "no" to Princeton and Columbia. Possible to the other two. Best of luck.
