What are my chances if?
ED Cornell/RD Brown
ED Brown/ RD Cornell
I think i'd have a better shot at Cornell if I ED, whereas if I ED Brown, I'd get rejected along with RDing Cornell.

Funny, i am also thinking about ED’ing at Cornell or Brown.
You have great grdes, and great SAT although your EC’S “just” solid, but still awesome. There is nothing outstanding though.
I would take Cornell ED, but I guess, that can change in a moment, haha.
I Think this is a decision, YOU have to carefully make.

Lol but if your heart is set on Cornell or Brown (even though I’m tellin u FINER SOUTHER WOMEN and SICK SPORTS and SCHOOL SPIRIT and GRADE INFLATION WHEREAS CORNELL IS HARSH CURVES and NO HIPPIES WHEREAS BROWN IS GUITAR PLAYING/SANDLE WEARING LAND and ITS FREAKIN AWESOME AT DUKE)…

Go to Cornell you have a much better chance, though with your SATs Brown early isn’t out of reach by any means. Cornell is easier to get into, but of the two I personally feel Brown has more prestige.

For the record Duke early decision is about on par with Brown in terms of hardness for acceptance (not in terms of numbers I think Duke is low-30 something early vs Brown is high-20 early), whereas Cornell is easier then them both (high-30 early).

But check this website out for information about the people these schools are looking for, for Duke and Cornell and Brown. It does help in general and should give you a feel for the essays, regardless of the school you are applying to.

For the record, they are all great schools. Between all three, Duke (ik I threw that in there sry I LOVE MY SCHOOL), between Cornell and Brown for prestige, Brown, but for easy acceptance Cornell.

Honestly, even a perfect score is unlikely to help with your class rank unless your school is exceptionally competitive (average SAT near 2100). This info from Brown is telling:
