haha i know a ton but i'm sure I'll get into soem of em. Thanks!

absolutely no way at any ivy league school

Okay, I'm going to be perfectly honest and say that your stats are a little low for those schools... then again, admission is really quirky sometimes, and you could woo them with kick-ass essays, maybe.

why did you take the SATs 5 times??? that's insane; I could barely sit through that gigantic test twice completely, and there was one time when I totally lost my concentration and had to cancel ( :( ) FIVE TIMES??? wow

umm, anyway, I think your list is kinda nuts.. do you just want to go to those schools because they're "elite" or because you like the campuses, programs, etc? You're applying to sooo many crazy schools.. why not take a couple of the ivies off (the ones you don't really care about) and add a few safeties instead?

HYP- rejected
columbia- rejected
jhu- probably rejected
gwu- reach
tufts- rejected
bowdoin- reach
bu- reach
bc- reach
MIT- rejected
CMU- reach
RIT- match/reach

-Of course, these could change depending on how good you are at running (have you been contacted by any of these colleges) and how rich your parents are (George W. Bush did get into Yale for a reason)

I'd definitely consider applying to a safety school (Uconn). The fact that you are white and male will hurt you a lot in the process and your board scores, to be quite honest, are not good enough for most of the schools you have listed above.

I wouldnt be surprised if you got rejected from every school on that list

Whoaaa...is this a joke?

GUYS, let's give constructive advice instead of being rude, mmmmkay? No need to be like DUD U HAV NO CHANZ LOLZ... those schools are very, very competitive. Those stats aren't horrible at all, and he could get into plenty of schools if he had a more realistic list.

IvyBound, what do you actually want to do? that's what your list should really depend on. You could get into less difficult schools but with good programs in your field of interest, but that depends on what YOU are interested in.. besides "Ivy ivy ivy ivy OMG IVY IVY". y'know?

You guys are total jerks and should be a little more mature. You know exactly how you'd feel if someone said these sort of things to you so what makes this behavior okay, at all?

You SAT scores aren't bad, but you don't really have a shot at the Ivies. You are, however, above average.

What are you interested in?

Your GPA is, unfortunately, going to hurt you. Hopefully that is the work of a few C's and no D's/F's. Get back to me on that and I can suggest some schools with excellent programs that would be happy to have you.

Do it...APPLY...it will help everyones chances of getting in.
my logic is - out of your ten or 11 colleges, you'll get into one of them.

rule of #'s.

Wow, some of you people are so bad at picking out trolls. He's been a member since july but this is his first post.

"JV indoor track 9-10 (can i be recruited? i think i'm pretty good)"
"AP Chem- 3 (i'm not a chem person)"
"AP Eng Lang- 2 (or an eng person)"

Not gonna lie, this is the funniest troll thread in a while. I chuckled at a lot of the comments in parentheses.

It's not always about this specific person. People reading this post might have similar stats to those, and they're honestly not THAT terrible.

What is a troll thread? LOL

There are two main types of troll threads:

person makes up incredible fake stats and asks if he can get into his safety school. These made up people are often urms or from Alaska:2400 800/800/800 4.0 Can I get into my local community college?

Person makes up terrible stats and asks about ivy leagues: 1700 600/500/500 2.5 Am I guaranteed at Harvard?

Sometimes trolls actually aren't lying about their stats, but already know what people are gonna say and are just posting to inflate their ego or **** people off.

Of course there's no way to know someone is lying, but when people say "(i kno i kno bad but my sats and ecs make up for it)" and then are in one club or ask if they can get recruited in a sport that they stopped playing sophomore year, you can usually be pretty sure you're right.

someone's bitter, emperor!

Hee-hee...this is really really amusing. You guys need to stop being so funny...I'm procrastinating on my AP Bio!! Argh

What am I bitter about? She asked what a troll thread was and i gave my biased answer.

The funny thing is that the fact that everyone responds to these ridiculous threads simply breeds more of them.

I think he has a shot at GWU. GW is really weird with admission. And they will only take people who arent amazing or really really good. They do this because they are all about money. They figure that by accepting not so amazing peopel, those people will go to the school. Basically, they dislike people who apply there as a safety, unless they are harvard material. I tihnk BU is also realistic.

I say, drop all the other schools and just apply to HYP! Talk to the track coach, your excellent sporting records and high board scores make you a shoo-in.

HAHAHHAH very funny
