What are my chances at the top IVYs? How about the lower ones? and most importantly, the middle ones like UPENN that I would really want to go to. What could I do the next few months to improve......I would really appreciate your feedback, and if any of you could quantify my chances at certain schools (out of 100), that would be a great addition. Thank you.

ur spellin it rong, bro–“Ivies,” or preferably “Ivy League schools.”

Penn looks favorable for you. A top decile ranking is pretty much a prerequisite to admission, and they need high scorers like you to pull up their ranges.

^^ It depends on the field. For example, UPenn’s Wharton school had an admit rate of about 7-8%, so it would definitely be in the top difficulty. The “middle” or “low” Ivies only denote difficulty of acceptance; otherwise, this is all meaningless in terms of academic prowess.

Yankees, looking at your profile, your test scores are definitely in the top, which will help you out the most. GPA is great and class rank on the top, so all your academics are good to go. Your EC’s seem a bit random but maybe that’s just me. You’re looking good.

However, remember the admission process is very random; like everyone else in your caliber, you will be accepted to some Ivies and rejected to some. These chancing threads are quite pointless.

oh how i hate these posts, but I click on them every time -_-
dude its obvious your SAT scores are good enough, way better than mine
and its pointless to list your EC’s, we have no context to judge them correctly
its how you give this context in your essays and apps that is the deciding factor , good luck
and it depends on the department how you rank the ivies, UPENN is definitely not up to par with brown and columbia

For those from competitive high schools, it’s best to consult your own GC, since they’re more familiar with where students of your caliber end up. We don’t know what colleges your school has good relationships with, or what your rank means in context (at Ivies, most unhooked applicants will be sal or val).

What I can tell you is that admissions for white males from the NE is increasingly difficult. I question your labeling of Penn as “middle,” but ignoring that, I think ED could be a smart option, given that you don’t need finaid.
