I think I’ll be applying to some of the following:
Penn
Michigan
Cornell
Harvard
MIT
Yale
Columbia
Stanford
UF (safety)
Carnegie Mellon

I still haven’t decided whether I wanna study business or engineering, maybe both. I’d like to apply to schools who are good with both. If you guys could rate my chances (1-10) of getting into each of the aforementioned, that’d be greatly appreciated. Any personal comments are accepted and suggestions of other schools is amazing!

Is your 3.9 gpa weighted or unweighted?

You have decent stats. Always remember that Harvard, Yale, Stanford, and Columbia are looking for a balanced class-- not balanced students. Harvard, Yale, Stanford, and Columbia will be especially tough since (no offense!) there will be thousands of other applicants just like you.
You should be able to get into CMU, Michigan, and UF.

Unweighted! My weighted is a 5.1 out of 6 but the way they do it is weird. They add 2 points for every AP and 1 for every honors. I’m ranked 7th out of 615 @popitx‌

If you aren’t sure about business or engineering…apply for engineering. It is much easier to transfer out of engineering than into it.

MIT, Michigan and CMU have nonpareil programs for both Business and Engineering, so I’m contemplating those. Wharton is awesome and penn engineering is still top 20. All others are prestigious all-around schools.

Go ED to Penn. They have a large and very inclusive Jewish population and the dual degree M&T program at Wharton and SEAS for Business/Engineering is unparalleled.

Unfortunately, due to economic circumstances, my parents won’t let me ed to penn. It’s still my #1, but I’ll prob be EAing to MIT, Michigan, and CalTech, and then regular decision to all the schools above @Oberyn‌
