What are my chances?? My grades are not a problem, although I will retake the ACT. How about my EC's ? Are my achievements enough?
Thanks

You have a good chance, but definitely not certain. At this level, it’s almost random, and you’re recs and essays will be a critical part of your app too.

Also, don’t waste your time retaking the ACT. You got a 35. Raising that up to a 36 won’t do anything other than make admissions officers think you’re a perfectionist with no life.

Sent from my HTC VLE_U using CC

Interesting… First of all, you won’t be able to apply to both schools early, as they both have restrictive policies.

Are you planning to skip your senior year, and apply directly this year as a junior?

Also, if you don’t mind me asking, what demographic do you fit into, and what hooks may you have (URM, 1st gen college, etc)?

Overall, very good-looking profile. As a high schooler myself, I honestly don’t see how someone handles all of that in only 2 years of high school

No, I am going to apply as senior, but I just wanted some info and also realistic chances! lol
I’m probably the worst by demographic standards. I am an Indian male, and my parents both have professional degrees, so not fin aid.
Do you think I have a chance at Jerome fisher ED? what about wharton ED?

Jerome Fisher will be tough for anyone… I’m applying to the program this year, and I’ve heard that it is basically the most competitive program in the country (there are only 50 spots open).

On the other hand, I believe you would be a very strong applicant to Wharton itself (especially ED). If you decide to go this route, I would say to emphasize your leadership as much as you can in your application, and I think you would have a better shot than most.

Do you have connections at Harvard, through that Chinese presentation thing? If so, I believe you could capitalize on those, and strongly increase your chances at Harvard. As you probably know, the application process is so competitive nowadays, so there are no guarantees. Just send in your application, and hope for the best!

P.S. Wish me luck on my ED application this year to Fisher!

bump… please give some feedback!
