Will apply BME
will have really good recomandations

Please format this better then I will chance you

it doesn’t look good? you look like an A/B student (with a glaring C+) and below average test scores for JHU.

How did you take calc BC without taking calc AB first? Also, why would you take AP spanish is you got a C in Spanish 5? It gets harder. Also, your SAT scores are a bit too low, especially for being an asian,(i’m not being racist or anything because i’m asian too). If you bring up that SAT score, then you might have a chance.

If you are applying BME, you need to basically get a 2200+sat or 33+ ACT with exceptional grades (since BME at JHU is limited to a certain, small percentage of overall accepted). And you can take calf BC without AB since BC curriculum encompasses all of AB curriculum at an accelerated pace, just FYI. In short, you have a small chance, but a chance at that, to get into BME

You stand no chance. Honest.

probably a 15-20% shot even if you apply ED. Your SAT is just way too low

BME is intense. To be honest, I don’t think you’re a good candidate for the regular decision pool, but you could get lucky ED. I’ve seen it (read about it) on CC

If you guys could be so kind…

Asian Male
GPA unweighted: 3.7/4.0
SAT I: 700M, 600CR, 710W (retaking in Oct to hopefully bring CR to at least 650)
SAT II: 700 Chemistry, 630 USH (a disaster)
ACT: 29 (not sending)

I took AP Euro in my sophomore year, AP Chem, Eng Lang, Stats, USH in my junior year, and am taking AP Bio, Calc BC, Eng Lit, Gov next year. I also independently studied AP Psych and Computer Science.

ECs: NHS, a few clubs since freshman year, varsity tennis since sophomore year, tutor for the math department in my school, a few other things

I’ve also been volunteering for my church for a long time (since before high school, actually), and I got a great LOR from them. I’m also getting recommendations from my AP English Language teacher and AP Statistics teacher (got a 5 on both exams)

You guys think with solid essays and recommendations I’ll be in the ballpark? I’m so confused…

Thanks, in advance :)

I don’t think the OP would be happy that you posted your stats on his thread

Sorry, I’m new to CC. I didn’t want to open another thread… sorry about that

Just common courtesy :)

will keep that in mind :)

well, i applied regular, and got into BME. not the best stats, so take a look and see what you think. overall, i think i was lucky, but you could be too
