I'm a freshman at UC Berkeley applying to several LACs as a transfer student for next year. I have a pretty strong high school record, but so far I've done nothing exceptional at Cal -- no extracurricular activities, no job (although I'm searching) and mediocre first semester grades... and I'm kind of worried that I won't have much of a chance at being accepted anywhere. Help me out/chance me?

High School GPA: 4.2
ACT: 32
SAT II French with Listening: 720
SAT II English Lit: 800

AP English Composition: 5
AP English Lit: 5
AP Gov: 5
AP Microeconomics: 4
AP Calc AB: 4
AP French: 5

Extracurriculars in high school:
I spent 6 months studying abroad in France as a junior
Tutored a middle school student through a city-sponsored organization for 3 years
Secretary/co-founder of Slow Food Club (in addition to on campus activities I attended city health seminars and discussions hosted by the school district)
Secretary of French Club
Member of French Honors society/Conversation circle
Violin/orchestra for the first two years
Member of the city's youth council

Last semester at Cal I got two A's and a B+, which I think is a 3.67... I'm not sure if a B+ counts any more than a B here.

Also, I don't know if LACs take ethnicity/diversity into account any more than public schools, but I am half Asian and half Middle-eastern... will that boost or hurt my chances in any way? I know some schools covertly cap the amount of Asians they admit per year.

I'm applying to:
Reed
Occidental
Claremont Mckenna
Pitzer
Pomona

Thanks so much!
