I am a white, male high school junior at a boarding school in Vermont. I’m applying to Williams Early Decision, and the Middlebury, Colby, Bates, and Hamilton Regular Decision. How are my chances?
GPA: 93.58 unweighted, 100.xx weighted
Class Rank: Not yet calculated, but my counselor estimated 10%, possibly 5%.
SAT (this was a fluke, I’m retaking): 1380, 710 on English and 670 on Math
SAT Subject Tests: Literature 690, American History 730
APs: English (5), Seminar (5), US History (5), Psychology (5)
Awards: National Merit Semifinalist (currently applying to be a finalist), various school-level awards for academics/athletics
Current Courses: AP Gov, AP Calc AB and BC, AP Lit, AP Research, Contemporary Issues, Physics
Essay: Excellent, written about how a camp CIT program taught me how to develop self-confidence and informed my decision to become a teacher.
Teacher Recommendations: Great, written by the English Department Head and my APUSH teacher.
Counselor Recommendations: Fantastic, she has a huge amount of faith in me and has nominated me for several national scholarships. We are very close.
ECs: Full-time cabin counselor at a sleep away camp this summer
Varsity and team captain for cross country, indoor track, and outdoor track (on the teams all four years)
Two week service trip to Ghana to work with kids and learn about local politics

I’m trying to get an early idea of where I stand, so thanks for any responses!
