*Please chance me, i know my SAT's suck, but would my ec's compensate for the "just good" scores?

I'm hoping ED will boost my chance. Please respond...I sent my application today and I'm very nervous. Thank you!!

actually, i'm going to apply ED II. What can I do to express my interest? It's too late for a visit because of Christmas Break...and I really think I'd be borderline. Are there any ways I can up my chances?

STOP FRIGGIN mentionining ur high school is top 50, it means SQUAT. i hate it when people say this. what do you go to syosset high school? jericho? it doesnt matter. its actually a bad thing if anything. bc its more competetive to get into a school from a better high school. they like taking kids who do well in worse schools. SO EVERYONE STOP MENTIONING THAT YOU WENT TO A GREAT HIGH SCHOOL! YOURE ALL Annoying!

alright david. i apologize....completttttely my fault. Dude, high school do play an important factor. I go to wheatley, and we have a good rep with a lot of school. Maybe the actual lists and rankings on US news don't mean anything, but rep does....and i'm just pointing out that my school has a good reputation....no big deal...it plays a factor

i ran track against wheatley, what i do admitt is that u had a really good runner. but the truth is, i dont think high school reputation plays a part in anything. truth be told its easier for someone in the slums of detroit with a 95 average to get into harvard than someone from wheatley with a 98.

Which major are you applying for at Lehigh? You wrote an awful lot ,and maybe I missed you saying it. Your stats and ecs are good enough to get in, but if you are applying for engineering, it could be iffy.

Yeah, it doesn't really matter what high school you went to, no matter how much people lie to you and tell you it matters. It's all a numbers game. They want you to fit the middle-50% unless you are so exceptional that it doesn't matter. Someone who goes to an easier high school compared to you with a GPA 9 points higher than you -- with the same classes (except the less competitive school was easy) who do you honestly think will get in? Top 50 doesn't matter, if it did, everyone from the top would get in everywhere. Reputation might matter regarding a school -- but you're a component of it, you're not necessarily indicative of the school's esteemed reputation. But you're stats are very competitive, wouldn't worry too much if I were you. There's a school out there for you, making yourself feel bad for rejection won't help (I got rejected too from my ED school).
