Being in the top 10% of your class will help along with showing lots of interest. Contact your admissions rep Kyle Kauffman (f) and request an interview. Everytime you make contact with the admissions department it gets recorded…bother them, but only with intelligent questions. Request a sleepover and a day of classes. They are basically need aware so if you can pay the 50K it doesn’t hurt.

I think you have a very good chance. I agree with waitingdad…show interest. Good luck!

thanks guys!! appreciate it! and I will definitely maintain contact with my admissions counselor… I visited the school already, so I think that demonstrates enough interest as is; question, has Lehigh really gotten to be super-competitive?

Yes, Lehigh has gotten more competitive in recent years; however, admissions is not entirely stats-driven. Lehigh wants its students to be engaged somehow in the world, as leaders or artists or athlete-scholars or inventors – anything that implies that they can do something significant with their lives. I always liken it to Ivy admissions, only with a slightly less competitive pool.

well, in that case, I think my EC’s/community service work will definitely help! thanks!!

Just returned from Parent’s Weekend and the word from the Admissions Department is that tours are way up compared to last year. They partly believed this could be due to the economy causing families to not want their kids to have to travel more they 4-5 hours from home. Let your rep know if she pushes for you that you will definitely enroll.
