Work Experience:

Working as a paid research intern with a doctor at my local med center
Worked a paper route for 6 years

Essays: I would call them above average at least for Wharton below are what they were about if that matters:

Main Common App- About how I am fundamentally drawn to science bc it enables me to take stuff apart

Activity- Future Business Leaders of America

Why Penn- Penn enables me to explore both my passions for finance and biology was kinda the theme there

Biography Essay- Talked about a troublesome kid I had to teach in sunday school

LSM Essay- Is about how medicine is really an economic pursuit and how I want to spend my four years learning the fundamentals of business in college

You look pretty good, though you should take the Math 2 subject test. Definitely look at those essays with fresh eyes, pretend to be an outsider, and think hard about whether you’d want yourself to come to your college. Also, make sure your “why penn” essay deals with different communities(Philly, Penn, CAS, Wharton, sports, clubs, etc.) as it no longer directly asks “Why Penn?”

You have a really strong profile, but Ivy admissions are pretty brutal in the RD round, so the key to your success will be to avoid putting your eggs in one basket. Don’t be afraid to apply to six of the top ten schools.
