Hey Guys,
I'm a Junior going into Senior Year and was wondering if you could chance me for Macaulay.
I have a 3.5-3.7 GPA (depending on my grades for the first quarter of next year)( at a3.5 unweighted currently)
I was part of the Environmental Club, European Club, and was part of a Shelter program where we helped kids do HW.
I took all honors in Fresh year, 2 in Soph, 1 in Junior, and taking 2 AP's next year.
I got a 30 on the ACT and will try to take it again to get to a 31-32.
I'm also a Peer Group Leader ( basically a peer counselor to younger students) and I can write a great essay and get great recommendations. (And my school has a good relationship with Macaulay, they got 25 students in last year.)
Thank you in advance :)
I'm planning to apply (not sure of the order yet) - Citi, Hunter, Brooklyn, Queens, and then either John Jay(which will be it's first year in the Macaulay Program) or Baruch.

Bump I’m just curious

Congratulations on your achievements so far.

Academically eligible applicants to Macaulay Honors generally have a cumulative high school average of 90% or higher. These students also have SAT scores (cumulative of the Math and Reading sections only) that range from 1250 to 1600 or ACT scores that range from 28 - 36.

However, although high academic achievement is a requirement, a student who has excellent grades or scores will not be admitted to Macaulay Honors College solely on those grounds. All prospective students are reviewed for admission based on a very holistic view of eligibility to the program. A student’s recommendations and essays which highlight co-curricular activities, community involvement, and leadership skills are key components of an application.

The mean SAT score for an accepted student last year was 1414 (cumulative of the Math and Reading sections) and the mean High School average was 93.9%. [The mean ACT equivalent would be a 32, and the GPA equivalent would be a 3.85].

Please do remember that the mean is an average of the total number of accepted applicants who fell within the eligibility requirements mentioned above. It is NOT a requirement.

ALL our applications receive a comprehensive review which includes grades, test scores, essays and letters of recommendations. This year, we realized a 36% increase in the number of applications and accepted 19% of the students who applied.

I hope this information was helpful.
