Chances at Macaulay Hunter and Villanova

<p>These are the two schools that I would like to get into the most, but I'm not sure of my chances. I've already applied but I'm waiting and it's killing me. I don't want to get my hopes up too high and be crushed, so let me know what you think my chances are at my top two schools. </p>

<p>Ok, so I'm a white female intending to major in biology. I attend a small private school with a very good reputation, which is listed in the top 100 high schools in the nation for academics</p>

<p>Here are my grades:</p>

<p>GPA: 3.8
SAT: 2030, 1340 combined verbal and math (740v, 600m)
SAT II: 700 Biology, 640 American History, 540 Math I (Math I was a mistake)
AP Tests: European History-3, American History-4, English Literature-3, Psychology-5 and this year I'm taking AP English Language, AP Spanish, AP Biology and AP Government.
I received Commended Student from the National Merit Scholarship and am an AP Scholar with Honor.</p>

<p>Extra Curricular:</p>

<p>Drama Club Member all four years and now treasurer
Varsity Swim Team member all four years
Spanish Club vice president
Animal Rights Club Officer
Drama Club member at an all boys high school
Piano and Voice Lessons for years
Started a book discussion club at school sophomore year
National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine (Spent 10 days at Villanova taking classes on medicine and visiting hospitals and such)</p>

<p>Service (150+ Hours)</p>

<p>Habitat for Humanity (Spent a week in Tennessee helping with this)
Church Cantor (I sing at mass on the weekends)
Y.C.S. (program for children with mental disabilities where we play games with them)
Other miscellaneous service like beach cleanups and peer mentoring</p>

<p>So what do you think are my chances? Macaulay Hunter is the one I'm really worried about, as I believe it's harder to get into.</p>

<p>macaulay hunter will be a high match probably… try and get your SAT to the high 1300s- low 1400s and your chances will improve.</p>

<p>Yeah, I’m worried it might be a bit of a reach. I can’t really do anything about it at this point, I’m already waiting on decision. I’m just freaking out and wondering what my chances are.</p>
