Anyone????

You have great EC's, if you can boost your SAT a little bit, you'll have more chance, other than that it's very hard. Public schools like GPA and SAT scores.

I'm done with the SATs

You probably want to be sure to apply by the priority deadline (Dec 1) to give yourself the best shot, especially since SATs are on the low side for UMD. Tourette's might be a great essay topic for you.

It actually is my essay topic lol

Sounds great! I think the positive outlook and service aspects you mention will make it a strong part of your application for any school. Good luck.

Does MD consider legacies?

I'm sure it's some help but I don't think it's a big factor.

Anyone else?

the problem with UMCP is that, since it's such a huge school, there's a lot of legacies out there- so as MD_Mom said it won't really help you all that much- but if you can, I would talk about the Tourette's- it might really help with admission

I did in my personal statement.

Anyone else?

I finished UMCP's application about a week or two ago- and amazingly they have all of my stuff in

Mirabeau, of the 5 schools my son applied to, UMD was the quickest one to log everything in. They must be very organized.

Scout, I think your GPA and scores are a little low, but your ECs are great, and being in-state will probably help you. Best of luck to you!
