Hey everyone!!
after constant assurance from friends and family that of course I will be accepted into the business school and me trying to explain how selective it is to them, I would deffinately appreciate an outsiders opinion of my stats.

Current rank 21/380 around 5.5%
GPA: can't recall around 3.8 I believe
SAT: 1820 CR: 610 M: 630 W: 580
ACT: 29 ENG:30 M:32 READ: 30 SCI: 25

College Credits of ENG- 1301, 2322, GOV-2301 2302 MATH-2413, 2414

Track- Soph, Jr., Sr.
150-200 hours of community serive

Also have great letters of recommendation from my GM at Sonic, my soccer coach, my english teacher, my counselor, and my kindergarten teacher.
Also, I'm not sure if this helps anything but my grandfather is a UT Law School alumni.

I know my stats aren't amazing but I am hoping some of my leadership experiences (especially my job as team leader) will show them that I fit the cut for McCombs.
Any feedback you could give me would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks so much.

I have around a 3.8 and have a much worse rank than you… Like top15-17…That tells you how dumb the top 8 rule is! Like honestly top 5 at my school is about a 4.3… Anyway frustration aside you really need to raise your sat scores if you want mccombs but your act is pretty good. Also your extra curriculars are pretty ok as well. Write some killer essays and retake the sat… Either way your already automatic… So whatever

Your GPA/Rank is on the lower end of those accepted, its usually around top 2-5%. Your SAT isnt too great I would retake that if you can. I would say youve got a good shot but by no means are a definite acceptance.

I got into McCombs with a 27 ACT and didn’t submit my SAT. I was top 8% (9/123) but had TONS of leadership activities. My suggestions would be to have a really strong background in a variety of extra-curricular activities and well written essays. They want to see that you are a well-rounded kid, instead of the anti-social brainiac. Good Luck :)

Here are the stats for the latest McCombs admissions:

Applicants: 7,122
Admitted: 1,403
Enrolled: 774*
Average SAT (admitted): 1352 (Math and Critical Reading)
Average ACT (admitted): 30
Average high school rank (admitted): 5.7%
