Chances at MCS?

UW: 3.62 GPA (school doesn't weight)
8 APs: Chem, Govt, Lang, Physics B, Physics C, Comp. Science, Calc AB, Calc BC
SAT: 2070 - 780 Math, 650 Writing, 640 CR (plan to retake)
Solid extracurriculars (won't really go into this)
150+ hours of community service on political campaigns

I would be applying to the MCS school most likely as a potential Physics major.

You definitely have a good chance. I give you a 65% chance if you try to bring your gpa and sat up a bit. I’m guessing that you are a junior, maybe you should try the act as well. Spend time writing amazing essays, and get good recs and you will probably get in.

1) Your GPA is below CM standards.
2) Your SAT score is below CM standards.
3) You have not taken any SAT II exams. You should.
4) It’s really difficult for us to chance you just based on “solid ECs.” The point of chancing is to have a second opinion of how far your accomplishments can take you; it’s rather pointless if you want us to base our opinions upon your opinions.

^Couldn’t have said it any better. You may think your EC’s are “solid” but we may think they “suck”.

Extracurriculars:
3 years of Crew (2 of varsity)
2 years of Wrestling (both varsity)
Model Congress 2 years - Republican WHIP
Habitat for Humanity
Member of Student Govt.
Out of school I box and have a Japanese tutor
Taken advanced summer classes
Plus the community service

I plan to retake the SAT at least once aiming for a 2150-2200

About the SAT IIs I have taken three. I just did not post them.
750 Math II
720 Chemistry
750 Physics
