As an out of state applicant with no opportunity at receiving need based financial aid, I have become increasingly curious about what sort of merit opportunities Michigan has, specifically Ross. Briefly, I have a 4.0 GPA and a 34 on the ACT but I believe that this 34 could potentially become a 36 within a couple of weeks after testing in September. What sort of chances would a student like me have at this sort of aid, particularly if I were to get a 36?

Michigan’s web site has very good information on what scholarships are offered and what it takes to get them. Try this:

[Office of Financial Aid: Types of Scholarships](http://www.finaid.umich.edu/Home/TypesofAid/ScholarshipsGrants/TypesofScholarships.aspx)

Thank you!

Unfortunately though, this does not necessarily tell me much about the situation I’m in. Can anyone chime in through experience as an out of state recipient of merit aid?
