I applied ED to the University of Miami and to tell you the truth, after reading several posts I don't think I have much of a chance of getting in but I'd like to hear from y'all.

GPA: 3.2
SAT: 1150

-Member of Varsity Golf team for 4 years
-Played in dozens of Golf tournaments over past summers and throughout the school year and won 2 over this summer
-Member of Film Club
-Member of Ultimate-Frisbee Club
-Member of Mountain Biking Club since freshman year
-Volunteer for S.H.A.R.E. (Students Have a Responsibility Everywhere)
-Taking 2 AP classes this year

There may be a few more that I'm missing but I'm not sure. Thanks

hmm. your gpa is VERY low compared to Miami's average. also, your SAT is lower than their average...i would say that ED, you have a 50% chance...

I'm applying ED to Miami also. I think that having coming from a good high school helps esp if people from your school have gone there.

I have a 3.7ish GPA with almost all honors and two APS (Chem and history) last year and two aps (Euro and Stats) this year. I got a 28 on the ACT but a perfect on the reading. My ECS aren't that great but I do stage croo and that takes up like 20 hrs a week.

I don't know ur chances but the fact that u come from a good high school esp if it is tough, that will help out. I also recently just checked collegeboard for Miami stats and they have it appear that it is harder to get in ED, anyone know any truth to this?

Good luck, only 46 more days till we find out.

I'd say 5-10% at best. Maybe you should try WCC, I heard the business program there is strong. Also, you might want to check out the Marshall School of Business at DF University.

starburymarbury87 are you serious? what are you talking about, what is WCC? I think you're crazy? you should not be allowed in this forum anymore

gta255-dont insult people who are trying to help you out. just because you dont like what he says does not mean that you should say "you should not be allowed in this forum anymore." That is rude. You asked for people's opinions, and you got one. dont complain.

haha neelesh, he is my friend, we weer just joking around. WCC is a community school by use and the Marshall School of Business at DF University does not exist. it's a joke
