- Other places

I will most likely not apply to all of these places, just the ones i feel i fit the most for. Please let me know the chance I have for each school. Im planning to go into some sort of engineering minus biological.

Thank you and please let me know how you feel about the places im applying to. My top two would be MIT and Cornell but i am less than confident about them. Also, which schools should i apply to early with this in mind? Thanks !

MIT is completely unpredictable but I think that you have a shot at Cornell.

MIT (Reach)

Cornell (Low Reach)

Berkeley Match)

Stanford (Reach)

University of Pennsylvania (Low Reach)

Vanderbilt (Match)

Georgia Tech (Match)

Carnegie Mellon University (Match)

Lehigh University (Match)

Penn State Main (Safety for sure)

State Schools (Safety, you’re spectacular)

Clemson (Safety)

Pitt University (Safety)

Thank you very much for the input! you guys are reaffirming my previous notions… The thing is I believe that out of MIT Cornell and Stanford I have the best shot at Cornell, and Cornell’s engineering program is amazing so I’d be satisfied. It’s just MIT has been my dream school for years now, although my chance of acceptance there is slim. So what I’m asking is should I apply Cornell ED? Or MIT EA? Also I’d be applying for financial aid at both if that makes any difference.

Bump 10char

bump :(( 10char

I think that applying ED at Cornell significantly improves your chances at admission whereas EA for MIT doesn’t boost your chances as much. You probably shouldn’t apply ED to Cornell if MIT is your dream school, because you may get in.

thank you I think that’s probably what I’ll end up doing, but assuming that I get rejected EA at MIT, what are my chances at Cornell RD?

You’d still have a decent chance of getting into Cornell RD! Low reach if you apply RD and a very low reach if you apply ED! Good luck!
