um.........hmmm....they're ok. Make sure you essay is profound and engaging. Remember, you're applying to some of the most competitive schools in the nation.
GOOD luck

emphasize the 4-lingual thing in an essay
realize that scores aren't your strong point (in terms of the MIT or Caltech applicant pool), so try to come across as a person w/ character and passion in your essays, ecs, and interview

if your essays are your weakest part..then i dont think you have a very good shot. In order to get into MIT or Caltech, you need to have kick ass scores (which you pretty much have), and awesome essays....keep working!..hope this helped!

I'm taking multivarable calculus class at my school. I hope it counts as an honors class.
I know, Im working on my essays... but right now I have a C in AP LIT :) Im pretty sure it will soon go up to a B

my brother went to caltech-- everyone had so-so GPA's, but amazing standardized test scores. my bro eventually did interviews for admissions when he was a senior and said what they look for is the potential to succeed, not necessarily how well u did in high school. your SAT score looks amazing though, good luck!

oh, you're russian too? cool! i can tell you're reallyyyyy good at math; i also love math a lot. i'm thinking of going into a finance. what majors are you considering?? where do u live, what school are u in? i think the number of ec's you have is fine, though. i have very few-basketball third year (i'm a junior), INTEL, and math team starting this year. is that wayyyyy too little??
