<p>Hey,
Just wondering what my chances would be at MIT / Princeton</p>
<p>I would probably major in Math or Computer Science.</p>
<p>GPA: 4.0 / 4.40
Right now I'm #1 of 130 in my class.</p>
<p>SAT:
Math: 800
Reading: 640 :-(
Writing 720
(this was the 2nd time I took it after an SAT review course last summer. I'm a junior this year.)</p>
<p>SAT IIs:
Chemistry 800
Biology 760
Math IIC (Plan to take)</p>
<p>APs:
Comp Sci AB
Chemistry
Calc BC
(all 5s)
Plan to take Spanish, English, US History, Physics B (and maybe C later), Biology, and Statistics</p>
<p>My biggest "hook" is probably math. I took Calc BC as a sophomore and this year am taking Calc 3 at a local university. I am also really into the whole math competition scene as well.</p>
<p>ECs: (just the most important ones)
Interact Officer, Grades 10-12, Not necessarily weekly, but probably averages out to about 3 hrs a week 35 weeks a year (i.e. Service trips to Mexico, stuff like that)
Math Club / Extracurricular Math, 5 hours a week / 40ish weeks a year then during summer about 10 hours a week for 12 weeks)
Science Bowl, 2 hours a week / 20 weeks a year
Freelance (php/java/C) programming / USACO contests & training pages 20-40 hrs a week during summer usually
Lacrosse, 15 hrs a week / 12 weeks during season then about 3 hours a week during off season</p>
<p>Awards (so far):
Outstanding AP BC Calculus Student (05 - 06)
Highest Achieving Student in AP Chemistry (05 - 06)
Exemplary Citizenship (04 - 05 / 05 -06)
AIME Qualification (06) (hopefully USAMO this year)
Varsity Letter (Lacrosse 05-06)..dunno where to put this
Member of 2nd place regional science bowl team (05-06)
And then some other small math competition awards</p>
<p>Thanks. Any suggestions to improve my chances would be greatly appreciated as well.</p>
