Chances at MIT, Wash U,...

How is it that you've only taken six classes? Are you a sophomore right now?

If you are, you ought to put off listing colleges until next year, and focus on doing all you can to meet the bar allowed by your school.

Wow thanks a lot Calcruzer! That helps a lot!!!! I am getting prep books for Christmas lol.

Hmmm weird about your GPA Vine.

Prescited: Those are the classes I'm taking now with my quarter grades/expected final semester grade. (We have 6 classes/semester) My full schedule (9-12) was:

*AP Statistics-Online course done on own time. It's from Virtual High school (goVHS.org) and I get high school credit (hopefully college too w/ AP test!) and our school is paying for us to take 1 course. (Sem. 1 & 2)

I hope I can get that schedule since my school usually offers one hour with those AP courses.

BUMP!! (Finally found my topic lol)

So what do my scores need to be like when I take the ACT in february?

bizzzzzzzzzump

Little chance at MIT unless you do something extraordinary within the next year. Doooooooo etttttttt. Start a science club or local chapter of a national club, start a business (even lawn-mowing or something), etc. Either of those two things, combined with a near-perfect math SAT score, might just get you in.

Hey thanks...Funny you say that because I was just thinking about my insignificant ECs...I gotta do research or something

Let me point to this question in my original post:

"Any other great engineering/math schools I should consider?"

I'm thinking now of:

Wash U STL
U. of Ill.-Urbana-Champagne
Cornell
Purdue (??...Haven't looked into it yet)
MIT (ha!)
CalTech (ha!)
Harvard (ha!)
