So I live in Mi, and really want to go to MSU.

I have a 3.22 GPA (which is on the lower end)

I got a 29 on the ACT (higher end)

I've been on student council for the past 3 years (I'm a junior) and Vice President for 2 years. I've also been on Student Congress and been in Key Club for 2 years. I have 70+ community service hours and will have over 100 by the time I apply for college.

My parents are also huge donors for the Journalism school (where I plan to attend) will that help?

I really screwed up my first 2 years but have done significantly better, and improved a lot. I'm hoping that my freshman and sophomore year (especially sophomore) year can be redeemed. I've heard a lot of people say if you have a reason for doing poorly (I've battled depression and anxiety, mother became unemployed..etc) they might overlook the low GPA?
