With strong essays and recommendations

So do you guys think it's possible with and without my hypothetical test scores??
Remember I'm out of state .. so I'm really worried..
Plus, I'm an 11th grader, so this is for next year

even if you were instate, its really hard to get into ut austin. my friend had similar scores but was 2 shy of top 10% and got rejected. good luck

Bumpy any more opinions?

Thxs

anybody?..

Chancing anyone for UT-Austin who is not in-state top 10% is very difficult. I think with your hypothetical scores, you will be borderline, but without your hypothetical scores, it's a reach...

that being said, I would definetely encourage you to apply. What's the worst that can happen?

i think it depends on which major you are applying for..

I have decent academic stats (95% Honors classes, 6 APs, 3.8 GPA, 95-96 numerical avg, etc etc. 1980 SAT..Top academic honors awards and what not)

But I've gotten lots of "Matches" and "Very Slight Reaches" for UT-Austin b/c my ECs show a crystal clear passion for business and advertising, and lots of community service.

I think for the most part, it comes down to the fact that you can show a clear interest in the subject matter you want to pursue...

I think you're a match/slight reach, given your essays are good and interests are shown thoroughly

best of luck!

And don't let any of these pessimestic *****ers let you down...i've gotten hundreds of 'you're not gonna get in anywhere"

but...the only way you can't get in is if you don't apply, right?

Thxs everybody for the info and the encouragement :P Very helpful
