-I moved right smack in the middle of Freshman Year, and my GPA/Rank suffered tremendously because of it, it took me all of frosh year to adapt, and starting sophomore year I was back on track. GPA: (9, 3.6) (10, 4.1) (11, 4.3) HUGE Upward Trend..
-REALLY good Recommendations from Teachers/Guidance.
-Put a lot of time in my essays as well, all been thoroughly checked.

I've always taken the most challenging courses offered at my school

College List:
Cornell (1st Choice), Tufts (2nd Choice), Columbia, Carnegie-Mellon, Emory, NYU, U-Chicago, BC, BU (safety), UConn (safety)

I know this is a lot, but if you guys can help me out that would be great! Thanks

stop. i transferred in my senior year. that made my class rank suffer so much.

btw. being recommended by teacher for some national conference is nothing........

Oh, yeah...I forgot about NSHSS! I'm in that, too...I forgot to put it on my first app...I'll have to put it on the other ones.

I know it's absolutely nothing, I have other extra curriculars, President of 3 different clubs, etc etc. I also do a lot of community service.

Can someone evaluate my chances, I've been on these boards for 3 years and I have evaluated many of the juniors and seniors, but I feel like I need some reassurement and peer review chances.

I think the upward trend is promising. Your leadership seems sound, too. I think you have good chances of acceptance at Cornell and Tufts.

bump.. (10 char)

Columbia and U Chicago - Probably not.

Cornell, Tufts, Carnegie Mellon, and Emory - You've got good shot.

NYU, BC, BU and UConn - You're probably in.

thanks, yeah I basically had the same exact predictions, except I am really unsure about Cornell, we have like 20 students from my school applying there, all in the top 30 of our class (im 33), but again my counselor has explained the reason for my low rank, so hopefully that and the ec/essays/recs help. idk man, everything is just so gray lol
