Chances at my top 5?

<p>Okay so these are my top 5 choices so far:
Trinity College, Connecticut College, Marist College, Amherst College (long shot I know!), Skidmore College</p>

<p>Other schools I am looking at:
UCONN (in-state), UMASS Amherst, Ithaca College, St. Lawrence University, Wheaton College</p>

<p>Summary:
GPA is 3.4 but I plan on bringing it up with my last semester. I am in the top 25% of my class and hopefully will bring it up as well.</p>

<p>1770 combined on the SATs which is not the best but I have only taken them only once so far with minimal studying. I plan to take them again in October and I am also taking the ACTs in a few weeks and again on the fall date. I also taking the Math 1 and U.S. History SAT2s in a few weeks.</p>

<p>I will probably be sending in a portfolio of my art work to these schools as well just for kicks.</p>

<p>Schedules:
(all of these years i have taken one quarter of gym and one quarter of health)</p>

<p>9th grade:
band, honors french 2, honors algebra 2, honors world history 1 and 2, honors english 9, honors physical science
ECs: eco club, history club</p>

<p>10th grade:
band, honors biology, honors world history 3/ civics (one semester each), honors geometry, honors french 3, honors english 10, intro to tech ed (stupid required credit in my school)
ECs: eco club</p>

<p>11th grade:
band, art 1 and 2 (one semester each), shakespeare and war in literature (both honors and one semester each), honors chemistry, AP U.S. history, honors sociology (one semester) honors trigonomery
ECs: eco club, history club, world language club</p>

<p>Next year I plan on taking:
band, AP literature, psychology (honors but with the AP test), honors philosophy, honors painting/advanced painting, AP physics, and AP statistics
I will also be participating in the eco club, history club, world language club, and i will be inducted into National Art Honor Society by next May.</p>

<p>All my years in band class includes marching and we are preforming in an apparently up-and-coming play called Band Geeks.</p>

<p>I have had an after school job working at my local grocery store since August before my Junior year. I work roughly 15-20 hours a week, sometimes even up to 25 hours.</p>

<p>I plan on doing a ton of community service this summer.</p>

<p>I think you are doing well so far! Bring up your GPA and your SAT’s. The fact that you have stuck it out with band is a strength because it shows a committment to 1 activity which is better than being in 1 billion activities XD.</p>
