Will be taking the ACT next month as well.

It’s good you’re looking ahead; you have a few semesters before you submit your applications. Regarding Duke, your current SAT I result is not competitive. Study hard for the ACTs. Duke requires the submission of all results from every SAT or ACT test taken during high school, but not from both the ACTs and the SATs.

Yeah, I definitely will be studying. Anyone with any ideas on any other places that I should I apply to that have decent computer science programs? Preferably in or close to NC.

State, UNC, and Duke all have very reputable computer science programs; State is looking like the more realistic option for you at the moment. I would also look at Virginia Tech and UT-Knoxville because they’re both in states bordering NC. Maybe Clemson as well.
