chances at ND

i posted this on another board here, but thought id get more responses in this forum- what do you think my chances are at getting in ND, i am currently a senior at a very competitive college prep school, ive got a 3.58 GPA (unfortunately it started off as a 3.8 as a freshman and its gone down every yr but im hopin to have it go up again first semester of senior yr), taking all possible AP courses, have a 1300 (out of 1600) on the SAT and am taking it again and will probably improve (when i took it i went in cold no preparation whatsoever, now im prepping on my own), waiting to take the ACT, and my father and uncle went to ND and my mom went to st mary's (i dont know if that matters, but i heard somewhere that that counts as a double legacy), also if theres a good chance i wouldnt get in with thouse SAT scores what would be the desired scores that i should shoot for on both the SAT and ACT?

Being a legacy will definately help, but it sounds like you need to make up a bit for your GPA unfortunately. While certainly nothing is certain when it comes with admission, I would hope for at least a 1400-1450 on the old version of the SAT. I am not saying you can't get in without that, I don't know how it goes for legacies as well as I do for non-legacies, but I think that would put you in MUCH better standing. I wish you the very best of luck!

alright thanks man
