I’ve been thinking of Northeastern as a safety school, because I’ve heard that the school has a good political science program and is strong in economics. (2 of my 3 intended majors, the other being public policy) However, some people I’ve spoken to believe that would be shooting a bit low, even for a safety school.
I want my safeties to be schools that are about 75% certain. I’ve already got another uni as my slam-dunk, if-all-else-fails, option. If acceptance at Northeastern is 95% certain, that’s a bit low for me, even as a safety, and I’ll apply somewhere else. So would you guys say Northeastern is closer to 75% or 95% for an applicant with my profile?
