Chances at Northwestern?

Hello!
It is safe to say that I am not the strongest applicant. Though my ACT is a 29 (but have above 29 in every category at least once)-- I have many extra curricular's.

Senior year schedule:
College Calculus
American National Government/International Relations
English Comp. II
Advanced Spanish IV
Chemistry II
Economics/Sociology
21st Century Journalsim (Editor)

GPA: Unweighted 4.0, Weighted 4.571 (Highest possible in our school)
ACT: Comp. 29, Reading 29, English 29, Math 32, Science 33
Rank: 1/85
School Rigor: We offer no AP classes, I have taken the most challenging classes possible, but very limited. I took one social studies class at community college over the summer just to add to my transcript.

Extra Curricular's:
Cross Country & Track (4 years)
S.A.D.D. (4 years) (Member of Kansas State Leadership Council)
Peer Education (4 years) (Presents to Elementary and Middle Schools)
Student Council (4 years) (Student Body President)
National Honor Society (3 Years)
International Club (4 years)
Scholar's Bowl (4 years)
Newspaper (3 years) (Editor)
Work (30 hours a week)
Political Campaign Volunteering (One Summer)

Unique Feature:
I have been featured on TLC's extreme couponing and also German TV for the same thing. I coupon to supply for my family and donate to charities regularly. I have also won the Kansas City area Young Achiever Award from FOX for my donating.

My brother received his doctorate from Northwestern, and I hope to attend myself in the International Relations department while also studying economics. I went to the economics for leaders program this recent summer, and also did programs like HOBY and Boy's State.

I am a white male.

Please chance me!

Anybody please!

I like everything except that ACT. you will need to bring that up to atleast a 31.

I am taking it one last time this September, hoping for a 31!

Please take 1 minute and chance me! This is my dream school and I just need opinions!

I think you’ll be a very strong candidate for NW if you just get above a 33 on your ACT. Keep in mind NW doesn’t superscore

Thank you! ACT definitely kills me, I am hoping that with Alum relation and strong everything else that they will slide me in.

NU has an admission rate of 12.9% last year. You do need to bring your ACT much higher for a decent chance. Right now your chance is below their admission rate as your ACT score is below the average of applicants.

Im also a hopeful Northwestern student in the class of 2015. I agree with everyone on bringing up the ACT, but your profile seems really interesting otherwise! Chance me?

You do have a chance just STAND OUT.

Any other advice? How do I stress to them that they are my #1, and I would be a great addition to their school?

you have a very good chance. stand out from the crowd as it has been said.
