Chances at Northwestern?

This is my friend's dictation to me. Here we go...
I am a junior. I go to a competitive public high school in Ohio (easily top 3 public schools in the state academically). What are my chances?

My dad is Jordanian, so I'm first generation here in the U.S. Does that help my chances?
My sister goes to Northwestern as well...

Stats:
WGPA: 4.07 WGPA
UDPA: probably 3.7-3.8
SAT scores: 1990 (pending retake). 700 R 710 M 580 W (my essay can obviously improve w/ retake).
ACT score: 32 composite (31 W 33 M 34 R 31 S 9 essay).
SAT IIs pending...

A.P. classes taken (by the end of high school):
Computer Science
Statistics
Calculus B.C.
Physics C: Mechanics
Physics C: Electricity and Magnetism

ECs:
I'm very devoted to hockey.
4-year Varsity ice hockey player
11th grade:
All-League Honorable Mention
All-City Honorable Mention (Cincinnati Enquirer)
Outstanding Offensive Player Award

Roller Hockey:
3-years on my school's best inline hockey team
First Team All-Conference this past year

Vice-President of Computer Club

Volunteering:
50+ hours helping at Learn to Skate Hockey

My recommendations will be very strong. Also, my essays will be very good (about being an Arab in post-September 11th America, and another few ideas).

Thank you for your input.

by the way… thats a 4.1 WGPA on .5 weight. its 4.35ish on a 5 point weight.

You have a solid chance, although nothing really stands out much on the app. Definitly apply ED if this is your number 1 choice because that greatly improves you chances as NU is huge on interest plus you are a legacy with your sister. I would hold back the SAT score and just send the ACT if I were you. Good luck.

^agreed. Forget you even took the SAT and just sned your ACT :)

siblings cant cite legacy must be parents or grandparents… atleast thts with ivys and uchicago

^You’re allowed to do so for Northwestern and MIT (I think).
