Chances at Notre Dame and Duke?

<p>I really love both of these schools and the great academic-athletic vibe they give off. Duke has always been my dream school and we recently visited Notre Dame and I fell in love. As a rising senior, is there anything that I can do to improve my chance? Also, do I have a shot at HYPS, because my parents are encouraging me to look into them and I'm not so sure. Thank you in advance!!</p>

SAT II: 710 Math II, 690 Biology, 740 USH
Unweighted GPA : 3.98 (I'm going to get a B in AP Calculus BC this semester), 4.35 UW
Rank : 1/400

<p>I have taken the hardest course load available at my high school, including all honors in what is not an AP class.
So far I have only taken AP Biology (4) and European History (5), but am planning to score well on the upcoming tests (hopefully!)</p>

<p>I want to major in BME, pre-med, or biology, with the ultimate goal of going to medical and being a surgeon. Also, I would like to minor or double major in history. </p>

<p>Extracurriculars:
- Varsity Basketball (will be 3 years, will probably be captain next year)
- Club Basketball Year Round (since freshman year, 15 hours a week)
- Lacrosse 9-10, but had to stop due to huge commitment to basketball
- National Honor Society (10-12)
- National Spanish Honor Society (10-12, I am currently Treasurer and will be President next year)
- Key Club (not officer, but one of 6/200 chosen to go to Costa Rica and built a library due to commitments and enthusiasm in the club)
- 250 volunteer hours, I volunteer at the local hospital during the summer
- I hold down a 30 hour job lifeguarding during the summer and 10 hours a week during the school year (except for basketball season)
- Link Crew (12) Helping the freshmen get adjusted </p>

<p>Other:

Located in Colorado
I feel that I will get good recommendations because I am pretty active and enthusiastic in class. In addition I am going to dedicate a large amount of effort to my essays so they will be great! (hopefully)</p>

<p>id say u have a very good chance! for hpys, id say u have as good of a chance as most, its just so hard to tell with them. but everything here looks great!</p>
