Chances at Notre Dame and Hopkins???

GPA- 99.4
SAT - 1370
Rank- 10 of 312
Senior leaders, National Honors Society, Latin for four years (currently independent study), One week preceptorship with doctor, "mirroring" at local hospital, relay for life committee member, piano for ten years
4 AP Courses, over 20 Honors Courses (Excelled in Every One of them)

What do you guys think my chances at Notre Dame and Johns Hopkins are?

Both my teachers and my parents believed that my essays were very personable and well-written

Notre Dame- i included my attraction to a catholic based institution and the overall mystique and tradition that comes with going to Notre Dame (my dream school)
Hopkins- included my passion for science through the allusions of my past experiences at medical offices and hospitals and the valuable information I gained from these experiences

If you could tell my chances at each school, that'd be great. Thanks!

P.S.- Is it right to say that my safety school is Villanova? I'm almost a lock there right??

Your SAT is really low.

really? Math- 700, Critical Reading-670, Writing-680....I didn't think that was the highest that they have seen, but I never thought that that would be a huge liability for me

I think you have a decent chance at Notre Dame (although it will be tough), but Hopkins will be a reach. The SAT is a tad low and nothing really big stands out.. (awards?). I daresay Villanova is a 'safety' as your score is right in the middle (1340-1430), maybe even a little less than 50th percentile. Best of luck.

Gold medal for National Latin Exam for Four Straight Years (only one of two people in school who take Latin to receive it); National Honor Roll: Who's Who Among High School Students; National Honor Society and Senior Leaders; Varsity Letter Winner for 4 years for tennis and 2 years for golf....

and I never thought Villanova's SAT's were that high of a range? Where are you getting that information? And does it matter if it's regular decision in opposed to early decision?

villanova is pretty safe, their SAT 75th percintile is 1380 according to USNEWS and CB, JHU is a large reach, I doubt you would get in b/c you don'te really standout unless your essays are really good or something. Same with UND in my opinion

ok thanks guys.....i got into the University of Scranton which is my ultimate safe school (near where I live), however I also applied to the following schools, and I will be happy getting into just one of them. ANyone think I can??
