Chances at Notre Dame - top choice by far

First, I am an 18 year old Asian-American male from NJ.

SAT: 2310 - C: 750, M: 760, W: 800
SAT II: Lit: 730, Math 2: 710, US History: 630

I have been homeschooled up to my senior year. This year, at prep school, I am taking: AP Calculus AB, AP English Lit, AP World History, AP Latin Vergil, and Physics Honors. For the first semester, my GPA was a 4.33 out of a 4.5 (school des not rank).

During homeschooling, I had a 96 GPA out of 100 for my freshman, sophomore, and junior years.

I have taken math and science courses at the community college because these subjects are my weakness. I have gotten A's in Chemistry I, College Algebra, and Pre-Calculus. I got a B+ in Intro to Chem, and will probably get a B in Calculus I and Calculus II this summer. My GPA at the college has been a 3.88 out of 4.00.

ECs: I have played classical piano for twelve years. I'm not Juilliard material, but I'm very good. I have accompanied many musical productions, worked in local clubs as a cocktail pianist, and placed in many music competitions in Princeton.
I completed three Toastmasters Youth Leadership Programs, public speaking programs, winning best speaker in all three.
I am a member of a Navy program run for youth called the Naval Sea CAdet Corps. Through this program, I have gone to and successfully completed boot camp (two weeks of living hell), advanced training aboard the Battleship NJ, and marched on the Color Guard of my division, the Trenton Division.
Altar server at church for eight years.
Completed paid internship at Merrill Lynch in 2004.
Most of my ECs have been within the local community.

Notre Dame is by far my number one choice. What do you guys think my chances are there, honestly? I'm a little worried, because last semester I got 5 B+s and 1 A (my school has no A-).

I think that you have a really good chance. Great SAT score, interesting academic background-the mix of home school, community college, and prep school, good ECs, that leadership potential, evidence of being outgoing and community-oriented.

bill you definetly have a shot
very strong ECs
try to improve that sat II in us history

You have a good chance. Since Notre Dame is such a prestigious school, it's hard to guarantee ANYONE an admission, but I would be surprised if they sent you a rejection letter.

As a side note, Notre Dame is ranked #18 in the nation, only two schools away from ivy.
you might want a safety, tho i dont really think you need one

Of course he wants a safety. Although he's a practical shoe-in at Notre Dame, there's still a slim chance of rejection.

As safeties, go for other prestigious Catholic schools: Villanova and Boston College.

I got into my safety - Penn State. But I really don't want to go there. All my other schools are even tougher than ND (Princeton, Penn, WUSTL, Hopkins) so I'm being realistic. Notre Dame is really my first choice out of those anyway, so I've showed a lot of interest (I visited Notre Dame, spoke with admissions reps, and met two members of the music faculty).

Does anyone know if meeting these folks will help a lot at Notre Dame? Does anyone also know if music is a big deal at Notre Dame because of the "jock" stereotype the school has always carried?

bumpity bump. . .does anyone have any opinions on my chances at the other schools? Thanks.

One other question: Does it matter how many are applying to ND from my school? Or does ND take as many qualified students as they can, knowing that some will not attend their school?
