Teacher Rec. #2: 9/10. My Spanish teacher. I’m apparently the best-speaking student he’s ever had.
Counselor Rec.: 8/10. I’ve had a lot of face-time with my counselor to work out schedules and things.
Additional Rec.: 7/10. From my football coach who says that I’m the smartest player he’s ever coached, but it’s not very specialized.

In at NYU, UNC, Cornell

Thanks

I disagree. I think all of those schools are reaches for you, mainly because of your SAT score. Do you have safeties?

Duke will be tough. Your SATs need to be a bit higher – at least the 50th percentile to have a decent shot. They sometimes will let the standardized testing slide in cases of URMs or athletes.

Do you have time to retake?

My safety is UNC at the moment.

As for my SAT, I’ll take it again next month.

Have you run the net price calculator for each school? NYU in particular has a poor reputation for financial aid.

Aid will get me down to about 30K per year, and I’m hoping that scholarships and grants will get me down to 20K or less.

Hey! I was wondering if you can publish your results, I’m interested in what schools you got into
