<p>I've read that Gallatin is more interested in your essay and extracurriculars and your ability to demonstrate that you are self-driven and independent, than your GPA.</p>
<p>I scored 2300 on the SAT.</p>
<p>-I'm trilingual and I learned my second languages through personal initiative and interest (not through school etc)
-I attended Schilling School for Gifted Children (must have an IQ over 120)
-Went to the regional spelling bee twice in grade school
-acted in five school productions, two community theatre productions and a student film, show choir for 2 years
-volunteered in Kilimanjaro for a month building a school, then worked for six months in Africa at the Chimpanzee Conservation Center, 3 week-long mission trips serving the homeless in Indianapolis, volunteered at nursing homes for five years, volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, part-time volunteer at local animal shelter for five months
-copy editor of school newspaper, attended journalism conference in Minneapolis, published politicl articles on the Internet and an interview with a popular musician arranged by me
-founded, own, and manage my own company selling therapeutic essential oils
-founded a local club providing company for people in nursing homes
-organized a fundraising campaign that raised $5,000+ for critically endangered apes
-won knights of Columbus essay contest on integrity</p>
<p>Despite my resume and SAT, my GPA is only 3.2. Very low, but in my defense I attended seven high schools in four states making stability difficult. The website states that, for NYU in general, average GPA is 3.6 and SAT is 1330 - 1400.</p>
<p>Do I have a chance?</p>
