Now as you know, the truth here on College Discussion can be very helpful, but, unfortunately, it can be brutal. Now I don't want you to be hurt by my words, but . . . you suck.

I mean your math SAT score is excellent, although I've seen better. And your verbal part is just . . . what can i say? . . . p*** poor. Now your EC'S are normal and all else is aight. I mean your GPA is alright, but your only ranked 10 in class which doesn't cut it for many of the schools you're applying too. If you want my advice, try and "dumb" down your college choices. Or instead, just make some of the lower schools on your list, your major reaches, not Stanford. Bottom line: you just don't make the cut.

Whoa there...that's pretty brutal. More constructive advice is to aim for 800 Math, 600 Verbal on the SAT if you re-take it. Math's pretty simple to get 800, but verbal may require a lot of effort on your part (as it does for most people). Your GPA is stellar (4.7 weighted is pretty tough to get, collegefanatic...i'm not sure what your GPA is, but if it's lower than 4.7 weighted, you need to stop being a dumbazz to others). I'm sure the SAT score is the only thing not guaranteeing you a spot.

Don't worry about Collegefanatic. Considering that person has only 1 post, it's probably a screenname set-up just for your thread, as a hate post.

Yeah, you got a great chance at all those schools. Tough competition at Stanford, Northwestern and Duke but nonetheless, you are a competitive applicant. Dont listen to collegefanatic, a rank of 10 is awesome, especially since it's top 3%. Try to improve your SAT by at least 100-120 points and do well on the TOEFL. You've got some good leadership stuff, just try not to make it seem like a laundry list on the applications. Good luck on the admissions process!
