I think you good a pretty good chance, and being URM only helps. Upping your SAT score and taking some more SAT subject tests would make you more competitive. But you ECs seem pretty good.

being hispanic can probably help you.
if you still have a summer to spare, maybe you can get involved into some business ec’s?
something that can show that you’re a fit for STERN.
hit those sat’s up! and takea few more sat2’s and i would say your chances can go higher.

I would say you have a pretty good shot, but you can always improve it. So repeat above poster.

I think that if you were applying to any other school at NYU than Stern, you would get in for sure. You have a chance but it’s not definite.

do you know if i absolutely HAVE TO take a math 2 subject test, in order to get into stern if i plan on submitting my SAT and and subject tests in world history and spanish. Is it required?

No, as long as you submit your SAT I reasoning scores. THe SAT II subject scores by themselves would not be enough. But basically, you are fulfilling admissions standardized test requirements by submitting SAT I scores.

[Standardized Tests](<a href=“Standardized Tests”>Standardized Tests)

From what I understand, the math II is all but required for any competitive undergrad business program.

aj, What Myname stated might be true^, but going back to your question specific to Stern Admissions, the answer is SAT II Math is not required if you submit SAT I scores to fulfill STERN admissions standardized test requirements.

I’d agree that it would certainly help your admissions cause if you take (and do well on) the SAT II Math Level 2. Most Stern applicants will have probably be able to claim that.

thank you guys so much

You have a pretty good shot!

I agree with the above posters and suggest you take SATII math 2. Also, if you have a chance, you can try and improve that SATI score, however it seems ok as of now.

Improve SATs. That’s basically it. You’re a URM, that’s huge, especially at Stern. The minority population here is nil.

Thank you guys so much. I’m pretty sure that I am going to be applying ED if that helps, also do you think I have a shot at the BPE program???

impressive. I’m also a rising senior. Good luck! I took AP Physics B and AP Lit my junior year. Both great classes.

Post no 2 Myname2
You are right. Following is specifically mentioned in testing requirements on NYU website-

Applicants to the Stern School of Business who choose to submit SAT Subject Tests or AP Exam scores must provide a score from a mathematics examination.
