Chances at nyu!

<p>Hello I'm applying for fall 2013 term at NYU, and UF and I would like to know my chances!</p>

<p>My #1 choice is NYU, #2 is UF</p>

<p>Weighted GPA: 4.05
Unweighted: 3.73
SAT (Which I'm retaking again in October): 520 Math, 510 Writing, 470 Reading
ACT: 21 (Retaking in October as well)</p>

<p>My grades are very very good.
I'm also a DUAL ENROLLMENT student, which means I'm taking college courses at my local community college as a part of my high school schedule.
I have 12 college credits right now, and I'll have 36 by the time I graduate (May).</p>

<p>I think your extracurricular activities, community service and your dual enrollment study is probably your only strong points, not to sound rude. The only problem is your SAT score. NYU is not easy to get into, they have really high standards. According to their website, they stress your SAT score or your ACT score. For the math section, most students score between 650 and 750, Critical Reading: 630 - 730 and the Writing Portion: 660 - 750. Judging from this data, for a competitive SAT score, one should have at least a 1940 - 2230. These scores aren’t easy to get. The nations average is about 1430+ I think. So, do I think you have a strong chance, not really, but keep your fingers cross.</p>

<p>Your dual enrollment is, I think, your strongest point. But with your current SAT and ACT scores, NYU would be a very high reach for you.</p>
