I am a white male.
27 on the ACT.
3.9 Unweigted GPA.
3.96 weighted.
I have taken several AP classes.
I should have great essays and teacher recomendations.
Looking to apply to the college of Nursing.
Have family members that are nurses.
I should be a NHS student next year.
Over 50 hours of community service as of now.
Varsity Track athlete.
Teach 4th grade catechism.
Great letter of recomendation from the catechism administrator.
Spanish Club and S.E.A. member.
Lastly, I will apply early.
If you guys can give me my chances, it would be much appreciated.</p>

<p>anyway, if you apply As soon as the application comes out in the fall, then you stand a chance…if you apply in October-Novemeber you probably wont get in…the ACT average for next year will be about 28.3-28.5 …so you ACT is a little low , I had the same ACT and didnt get in for this year to give you insight, but I waited too long to apply in Nov</p>
<p>Nursing is a great job. We’re not in the 1950s, no need to make comments about someone’s profession choice + gender.</p>
<p>Sound like you have a good chance, rkgotitans. The ACT is not fantastic, but I think your excellent GPA and ECs will make up for it. Have you considered taking the SAT? I scored higher on the SAT than the ACT, personally.</p>
<p>The only concern I have is that I’ve heard the college of nursing is difficult to get into. More so than the school as a whole, anyway. But this is second-hand information - I’m not exactly sure how the nursing program works.</p>
<p>i know that when michigan still had affirmative action they gave males 20 extra points on the 100 point scale to get into the college. they dropped the 100 point system but maby it helps that ur male</p>
