I am currently an active duty member of the military, and will be 26 when I apply to A 4-year university. I have my sights set on Ohio University, as of right now. I have been attending a community college, and have ran into more than a few issues. I have 2 F's and 2 D's, 2 W's and am only boasting a 2.9 GPA right now. The issues come from constantly being sent on detachments across the country, and not having access to Internet a lot of the time. I have 32 credits, and when I have been able to take classes without being transferred I have A's and B's. How much trouble am I in, and do I even have a shot at a university next year?

Make sure that you meet the subject requirements.

Ohio State is not very selective, and being in the military is a plus, especially if you have won medals/ribbons or are an officer.

You shouldn’t have any trouble getting in.

Correction: I mentioned the wrong college, as the post below says. But you are still likely in. Also, do apply to more than one school just in case.

He’s looking OU not OSU.

You’re in for sure, OU is even less selective than OSU.

I will be. I’ll be applying at several in state schools(Georgia), and other schools across the southeast. Thanks for the reassurance!
