Work Experience:
- I am licensed to work with mentally handicapped children and I get paid to do house-calls on the weekends, where I do behavioral work with them and monitor their progress

I also make independent films with my friends and I've done quite a bit of community theater. There's also some special considerations involving my family's financial issues.

I predict excellent recs and excellent essays (one is about my autistic brother)

I'm applying ED to the College. I have the option of an alumni interview since I'm a legacy, so I'll probably be doing one of those.

So... CHANCES?

no way jose

your SATs and GPA are both quite low. Aim for at least 2000. Even then it would be a reach.

legacy.... dude ur in trust me

i have a college book wher it quotes from Upenn that legacy ED u have huge advantage... the dean says, "i personally will review all rejected legacy applicants before making a final decision"... plus ur hispanic

combine that and in itself ur set... not fair for the rest of us but thats how it works in the US

At this state, I'd say difficult (10-20%).

The thing is, SAT scores get you in the door. Only afterwards can your ECs and Legacy push you in. High SAT scores alone will not get you into an elite college, but low scores can keep you out.

Your URM status plus legacy will help you get into UPenn. However, you really do need to bring up your SAT score. Because you took the new SAT, your Writing SAT II score doesn't count, so I think you to take another SAT II.

Legacy + URM + ED = a good thing

Your GPA and SAT's are holding you back. Obviously the only thing you can change right now are you SAT's, so MAKE SURE you get them up. If you can boost them A LOT... and I mean A LOT... then you've got a good chance.

Now about that cookie... :p

Thanks for the help! I'm definitely gonna hit the books hard for this SAT.
