I have taken no AP's and 2 honors classes my first 3 years of high school but senior year ill be taking 2 ap's and one honors class. Please let me know about my chances on Penn State-UP, Maryland-College Park, Rutgers-NB, BC( i know its a reach), Drexel, University of Sciences of Phil.,UVA(reach), Northeastern, deleware, syracuse. Also, what other good name schools would accept me?

I go to one of the most competitive districts in NJ-West Windsor-Plainsboro.

Well for your unweighted gpa looks good(Match) for Penn st or Maryland CP but your lack of APs and honors(thus low weighted gpa) will be a big repellent. SAT wise you have a better chance at Penn st than Maryland because Maryland is out of a 1600 scale. You are under Maryland’s 25th percentile SAT wise but you are around PSU’s 50th percentile since PSU counts the Writing section. About your ethnicity, if you mean you are Native American then i dont know how much colleges truly like that but as far as rumors go your chances are dramatically increased everywhere.

Overall: You probably have a better chance at PSU than UMCP because there’s rumors that UMCP is trying to cut down its admittance of Jersey kids and slightly decrease their OOS cap whereas PSU is trying more desperatly to increase its diversity(OOS and minority wise) than UMCP. Sorry if that doesnt completly answer your question. You have a great chance at Rutgers (IS) and Northeastern, though.

I recommend that you try and take a couple more honors classes senior year to increase your weighted gpa which will greatly increase your chances everywhere. And if you increase your M+CR sat than your chances are increased at maryland but you should strive for a 1900 SAT to really feel good about your chances.

Thanks for the thoughtful information. My family is from India btw, not Native American. How about the other schools i mentioned. What are the odds for those? Thanks again.
