CHANCES AT PENN STATE PLEASEEEE HELP

Im about to be a senior and I'm extremely interested in majoring in journalism I've heard its one of the best schools for journalism especially since I want a school up north seeing that I live in Florida

I'm hispanic and applying out of state if that helps

UW G.P.A: 3.3
W GPA: 3.6
Sat scores: 1500
ACT: 26
I've taken 2 AP classes and passed both seeing that my school just offered them and I'm taking 2 as well during senior year. All my classes have been honors except for math because i struggle in that area.

Extra curricular:
About/over 100 hours of community service
Im interning at Nordstrom for a fashion community/board (I want to become specifically a fashion journalist)
Key Club
Cap Club
(?) Im not sure if these two help (?)
- I speak two other languages fluently Italian and Spanish
- I run my own successful fashion blog

My school hasn't given out class rank yet so I'm not sure of mine
Im also planning to retake my act to see if i can get a bit of a higher score but that would have to be in September Im also sure I will be using my ACT score seeing that I found it easier and it correlates to about an 1800 SAT score

I know my SAT and unweighted are extremely low so you guys could be honest but Im not sure how to apply and when to apply so that I might have a chance Im fairly new to this college/school system because I just moved to america about 5 years ago and my school isn't very helpful with this kind of thing so I can use all the help and advice you guys give x

To be honest, you have a good chance of being accepted to Penn State.

Here’s some tips to make your application competitive.

Boost your ACT score to about 30+

Submit application by November (Penn State has rolling-admissions, but the priority deadline is November 15, I believe)

oh my gosh do you think so? i feel like my gpa is too low im not that great in math which brings my gpa down but i excel in reading and history whats the average gpa for university park!

for journalism look into university of missouri because they’re said to the the best in the country!! I’m (most likely) planning on going fashion journalism too but my main concern is I wanted to double major in journalism and fashion merchandising so I learn more about fashion but finding a school that has both is pretty hard:/ but good luck I honestly think fashion journalism is the best job anybody could ever dream of I’m so excited
